tinyBLADE. A Knife, Smaller Than a Key

Hey everyone, A quick update from the workshop today, production is still underway and might be another month or so, as we’ve found a few improvements and amendments we need to make and are executing them as we speak. - What’s happened  After assembling a few batches, we noticed some slight improvements were still needed to deliver you a perfect knife. - Thicker Coating and Realigning the Hexes Specifically, we’ve had to realign and cut out more of the hexagonal holes for a better fit for the hex bits. This happened because we opted for a stronger, layered coating that would be twice as thick and be 4x as durable over the life of the knife. So now we need to cut some of that extra coating out, while reapplying the coating inside it again, it’s a bit of a balancing act. This only applies to the small hex bits in the original tinyBLADE - the new, larger knives with the big hex bits still work perfectly. - Bottle Opener Reinforcement The second change we made was to add new supporting brackets in between the bottle opener teeth to improve the operability, making bottles now open with little to no effort.  Again, only on the original tinyBLADE, the larger knifes work flawlessly and we maximised the blade length by not bridging them. - How much longer will it take? Right now, we’re estimating that production will take about another month to complete before assembly and qc, as many units partway through the process can be pivoted to the new specifications at each stage. While these tweaks have taken a little extra time, they’re going to make the final products far more robust and enjoyable to use - while lasting much longer. - Why it took so long The longest time was to produce the new cast for the bottle opener support, as this is now completely finalised and in production, but that also needs its own coating and alignment on every single knife. We know delays aren’t ideal, but we’re focused on delivering a knife that meets the standard we promised, and beyond that. - Take a look at the blades Here are some sneak pics of the production samples at hand, you can see the new finish is way more even and looks amazing, as well as the bridge between the bottle opener which we’ve added - at no additional cost- in order to make your experience way better. - - -- -- --  - Thank you for your support! Hey everyone,

Production for tinyBLADE is now fully in motion. Things are progressing well and we’re moving through the early stages of manufacturing.

Since our last update, we’ve introduced two new options: a Titanium edition and the full-size GIGABLADE. These additions added some extra work, so our shipping schedule has shifted slightly. We now expect to begin deliveries in June/July 2025.

Where Things Stand

All raw materials are secured, and machining is underway for the blade bodies, clips, and frame locks. Tolerances are being checked carefully at each step, and early samples are being tested to ensure everything fits and functions perfectly.

We’re currently focused on:

• Milling and shaping steel and titanium components

• Tuning the lock mechanism on each size

• Preparing for surface finishing and assembly

What’s Next

After machining wraps up, we’ll move straight into:

• Assembly and fine-tuning of each knife

• Final finishing and quality checks

• Packing and shipping prep

Hey everyone,

We’re excited to share that production for tinyBLADE is already underway!

After months of planning and testing every detail, it’s great to see it all come together. In this time, we’ve introduced a Titanium edition and a full-size GIGABLADE which has slightly shifted our timeline. We believe the extra wait will be worth it, and we can’t wait to share these exciting new options with you.

We now expect to ship your tinyBLADEs one month later, around May 2025

Current Production Status

Production is underway and our team is keeping a close eye on each phase to make sure everything goes as planned.

Next Steps

• Fabrication & Machining: From crafting the blade and body to milling the frame lock, each part is precisely shaped and checked to meet our standards.
• Assembly & Finishing: Once all components are ready, we’ll assemble the TinyBlade, make any fine-tune adjustments, and give everything a quality check before moving on to packaging.
